The following list of selected fellowships are generally post-graduate opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students. Additional PPPM-related fellowships are posted in UO Handshake and on Internship and Job Resources. Students are also encouraged to conduct independent searches and contact the Internship Director for additional search strategies.

Federal Government
Several post-graduate programs are designed to attract outstanding individuals to federal service. Some are open only to graduate students while others are open to undergraduate and graduate students. The Pathways/Recent Graduates program began in 2012. Successful completion may lead to permanent employment without a further selection process.

Environmental Leadership Program – ELP
Regional Fellowship Programs offer intensive leadership and skill training, regional and national networking opportunities, and time for personal and professional reflection. retreats and optional additional trainings, our curriculum helps emerging leaders hone their leadership styles, improve their strategy and organizational development, and strengthen their outreach to diverse constituencies.

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
The EPA Environmental Careers Program (ECP) is a two-year position that includes rotations, career development, and a graduate conference. Participating offices announce positions on USAJOBS. Search on keyword “ECP” for open positions. Successful completion can lead to a permanent position at EPA headquarters or a regional office.

National Institutes of Health (NIH) Administrative Fellows Program
Two-year fellowships that include a range of administrative positions: administrative officer, budget analyst, contract specialist, ethics specialist, grants management specialist, health communications specialist, human resource specialist, and management analyst.

Piper Trust Resident Scholars Program (AZ)
Resident Scholars Program is a two-year, full-time commitment at Piper Trust in Phoenix, Arizona/Maricopa County. Scholars are exposed to all facets of a private foundation’s work, such as finance, grants management, communications, research, evaluation/strategic learning, and more, and can gain great insight about how philanthropy operates and its role in society.

Running Start/Walmart Star Fellowship
Three-month, full-time fellowship with a female member of congress in Washington, DC. Fellows intern Monday–Thursday and participate in a seminar every Friday. Fellows receive free housing on Capitol Hill and a $2,000 living stipend for the semester.
Open to college women who are juniors or seniors, or within 1 year of graduating with a bachelor’s degree. Women who have already started graduate school are not eligible to apply.
