Graduate Student Advising
Each Graduate Student in the program is assigned a faculty advisor. If you find your interests or working style aligns better with another faculty member, you may request a change of advisor at any time using this form. Check with your proposed advisor first, because faculty may already be at capacity.
Faculty are there to help guide you. It is ultimately up to you how you want to work with your advisor. Some suggestions include regular meetings to:
-
- Review your career and educational goals
- Share information about your research on career and internship options and what this might mean for courses
- Discuss options for elective classes
- Discuss challenges of difficulties you are encountering
